Oh, whose real name was Jacklyn Smith, had posted on social media about visiting Miami for a ‘mommy makeover’ shortly before her death. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
Young Fly, whose real name is John Whitfield, and Oh, had been together for six years and share three children – daughters Nova and Nala and son Prince.
Oh’s death was confirmed by a spokesperson from BET in a Facebook post. It read: ‘We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild ‘N Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed. More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children.’
In addition to her role on Wild ‘N Out, Oh had also appeared in several TV series and films, including Shift Drinks, Marc + Jenni, and The Worst Couple. She had also ventured into business, including owning a real estate social media account and running her own cosmetics company, J Nova Collection, which sells lip gloss.
Just a few weeks before her death, Oh had posted a touching social media tribute to motherhood. She wrote: ‘I do a lot . but being a mommy is my favorite. God chose me 3X I promise i never take it for granted . Im so damn blessed man! Happy Mother’s Day mommys 🙂 (sic).’
