as he maintained that no reasonable lawyer would ask the Tribunal to determine the matter that Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), presented, because there are no facts to prove the claim.
Robert Clark had said, “Any reasonable lawyer would never have, with those facts available before the Tribunal, asked the Tribunal to adjudge on the matter.”
Clark, who spoke during an interview on Sunday Politics, a Channels Television programme, said the Tribunal was right that Atiku could not present facts to back his claim. According to him, unlike other court proceedings, the cases at the Tribunal are argued based on facts and not strictly on a point of law. He maintained that it is necessary for the petitioners to present real facts in order to win their cases, but Atiku’s counsel never presented them.
Clark expressed satisfaction with the judgement of the Tribunal, and went further to say that nothing might come out if the petitioners approach the Supreme Court….CONTINUE READING
