“The victory of Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia is due to his humble disposition and unassuming posture that bears eloquent testimony of his personality known over the years,” the statement read.
The Tor Tiv also expressed the traditional council’s commitment to supporting the incoming administration to enable it to deliver the expected dividends to the people of Benue State.
“The Begha u Tiv, on behalf of the Tiv Area Traditional Council and Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers, pledges to extend unwavering support and loyalty to the incoming administration under Fr Alia and prays that the Almighty God grant him good health, protection, wisdom, courage, and guidance in his preparation and governance of Benue State,” the statement continued.
The Tor Tiv’s message comes as the people of Benue State look forward to the inauguration of Reverend Alia as the state’s new governor. With the support of the traditional rulers and the people of Benue, Reverend Alia is expected to usher in a new era of development and progress in the state.
