BREAKING: FCT Minister Warns Health Care Board Against Cholera Outbreak

Expressing satisfaction that no cholera cases have been reported in the capital, Mahmoud stressed the need for vigilance, stating, “This is the seat of government. The FCT Primary Health Care Board should put in place measures to guard against any outbreak.”

She called for immediate actions such as radio jingles and sensitization programs in schools, markets, mosques, and churches.

Meanwhile, the FCT Administration disbursed N3.62 billion as statutory allocation for May 2024. The six area councils received N1.14 billion, with Abuja Municipal Area Council getting N346.53 million. Other critical stakeholders, including primary school teachers and pension funds, received N2.49 billion.

Present at the JAAC meeting were various officials, including Hon. Bitrus Garki and Dr. Olusa Olusegun.
