Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has derided the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, following his defeat at the election tribunal.

The Presidential Election Petition Court, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, dismissed the three petitions filed against President Bola Tinubu by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

In the lead judgment, Tsammani affirmed Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential poll, stating that he secured the highest lawful votes.

In response to the tribunal’s decision, Omokri expressed his jubilation and asserted that Peter Obi would never have a chance at the presidency, primarily due to the intense ridicule and trolling he faced from his ardent supporters, the “Obidients.” Omokri mentioned the extent of the mockery directed towards him and his family, which he claimed was unprecedented.

Omokri concluded by vowing to use his influence to ensure that Nigerians never vote for Obi as president, even in the next eight years.

He tweeted: “Peter Obi, I am waiting for you in 2027 and 2031. God sparing my life. Because of what you mannerless fascist horde did to my then one-year-old daughter and the rest of my family, I have vowed that you will never smell the Presidency. Never.

“Nobody has suffered from your ill-mannered followers like my family and I. And even if it means spending everything I have, I will do it to ensure that Nigeria never makes the mistake of electing you as her President, now and forever….CONTINUE READING
