The troops under the popular Joint task force Northwest (JTF NW) Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) in the state have boosted onslaught against the terrorists as they destroyed all bandits hideouts belonging to the notorious and wanted bandits kingpin, Bello Turji and his leutenants Danbokolo, Malam Ila and Malam Sale at Kagara, Gangara, Fakai, and Manawa villages in Shinkafi general area.
The troops were on clearance operation in the area on May 17, 2023, and eliminated many foot soldiers of Bello Turji, retrieved 3 AK-47 rifles, 2 magazines, 2 locally made guns as well as pairs of military camouflage uniforms.
The troops killed many bandits while others escaped with gunshot wounds to mountains beside Fakai Village in Shinkafi local government area.
In addition, the troops pledged to continue the operation until bandits are eradicated from the area, they also burnt one motorcycle belonging to the Bandits.
