BREAKING: Pickford Signs, £42m Offer, Isak Decision – Chelsea Summer Transfer Window Completed By AI

While most Premier League clubs have been slow to complete deals this summer, Chelsea have rushed ahead to get targets in the building. Tosin Adarabioyo and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are among the players expected to have an impact on the first team atnext season. However, is unlikely to be satisfied and will be looking to add to his squad. But who will he target? This is where the Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology powered by OLGB comes in.....Read The Full Story Here ▶

They have tasked AI to suggest acquisitions for four areas which they feel still need to be strengthened bybefore the new campaign begins next month. AI was asked to suggest targets for the positions of; goalkeeper, right-back, central midfielder and striker, with the focus being on players who are youthful but balanced with the likelihood that some big names shall also be targeted.

With this in mind, in goal, AI suggested bringing Everton’sor AC Milan’son board. Chelsea have already ticked off potential in this position and a player of Pickford or Maignan’s calibre would expect to be a regular starter if signed.

At right-back, the technology went slightly rogue and suggested Aston Villa’s Matty Cash. The Polish international was a regular for the West Midlands club in the Premier League last season and considering he is unlikely to unseat Reece James in the perfect starting XI, it seems as though the Cash pursuit will be a non-starter.

In central midfield, there is an argument to suggest Chelsea need a box-to-box midfielder or a defensive-minded one to bolster the middle. However, instead AI chose to recommend Shakthar Donetsk’s attacking midfielder Georgiy Sudakov.

The 21-year-old has been known to play deeper in midfield when needed to but it is by no means his strength. It is widely understood that £42m will be needed to tempt the Ukrainian club to sell with Napoli currently the favourite to secure his signature.

Finally, in attack, AI believes a player who has already been linked with Chelsea would be a suitable addition. It suggests Villa’s Jhon Duran could be ideal considering his potential.

The Colombian is thought to be happy at Villa Park but would also welcome joining Chelsea as the club’s philosophy aligns with giving young talent an opportunity to progress. No mention was made of Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak though.

Eddie Howe’s side are understood to want £105m+ for the Swede which could quite rightly rule the Blues out of a transfer.
