BREAKING: PSG Become Favourites To Sign ‘Lethal’ £85m Forward Who’s Been Linked With Arsenal

French giants Paris Saint-Germain now seem well-positioned to win the race for a forward who’s been linked with Arsenal all summer. As part of his summer wishlist, Mikel Arteta has reportedly asked Edu to sign a ‘forward’ – a rather ambiguous description....Read The Full Story Here ▶

Last month it would appear as if Arsenal wanted a new striker, explaining their pursuit of RB Leipzig centre-forward Benjamin Sesko.

However, once the Slovenian decided to stay in the Bundesliga and sign a new contract, it was confessed that Sesko’s potential availability was simply a ‘market opportunity’.

Reports then took the tone that Arsenal aren’t looking for a new number nine, they’re content with Kai Havertz as their starter and Gabriel Jesus is more than capable as a back-up.

However, given Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell Jesus, it’s still not clear what will happen.

Perhaps the ‘forward’ signing mentioned is in fact going to be a winger – someone who can start ahead of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli on the left.

And in that regard, Spain’s Nico Williams is said to be Arteta’s preferred choice.
PSG could take advantage of Victor Osimhen’s reduced asking price as Arsenal watch on

But if it ultimately is a striker who Arsenal chase, many still believe that the club could launch a move for £85m-rated Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian, who scored 17 goals in 32 appearances in Naples last season, is available this summer.

Arsenal will be aware that Osimhen’s price tag has now been slashed, given Napoli are struggling to move the 25-year-old on.

But according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, it seems as if the Italian side may be growing closer to finding a buyer for the ‘lethal’ striker.

According to the journalist’s report, Osimhen could be part of a European striker merry-go-round this summer.

Spain’s Euro 2024 captain Alvaro Morata is kicking things off, thought to now have his heart set on a move to AC Milan.

The vacancy Morata leaves at Atletico Madrid could then be filled by PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani – who scored France’s last goal at the Euros.

And that will then lead PSG to sign Arsenal target Osimhen, who will be replaced by Romelu Lukaku at Napoli.

Perhaps many Arsenal fans would consider it a mistake if Edu didn’t make a concerted effort to sign Osimhen – a striker who could fully unlock their forward line.

But ultimately the club’s supporters will have to trust the process under this management regime, which has bought the club this far.
