The statement read: “The Kano State Police Command congratulates Muslim faithful and all law-abiding residents of the state on witnessing another Eid-El-Kabir Sallah period and assures that adequate security measures have been implemented to maintain peace and order throughout the state before, during, and after the festive period.”

“As part of our commitment to peace, in conjunction with relevant security stakeholders, a ban has been placed on all Durbar activities across the state for the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir celebrations. This decision follows numerous security reports and extensive consultations to ensure the safety of the community.”

“Worshippers are advised to perform their Eid prayers at the designated praying grounds, as traditionally done in the past.”

The Command also emphasized the importance of cooperation from all stakeholders to create a safer environment and urged residents to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
