They made this known in a statement signed by the Coordinator and Secretary of the group Engr. Anyaso Nnaji and Linda Onyeme, where they noted that Governor Uzodinma has taken Imo State 50 years backward because of his anti people policies for over 3 years in office.
They said ” It is unfortunate that Governor Hope Uzodinma has taken his rascality to another level by infringing on the sensibility of workers in Imo State by procuring reneges from the Trade Unions to assault the workers on a day that is globally left for workers to celebrate themselves but he caused a Circular to be issued directing all workers to assemble at a fake May Day location organised by government contrary to the global practice being a Workers Day.
We frown at these happenings in our state where we had things going on well for us before his controversial emergence as governor which has heightened insecurity in a hitherto peaceful state with several lives and properties destroyed due to his penchant to getting things at all cost lavishing our common wealth on frivolities, instead of developing the state and its people, today Imo is being referenced as the headquarters of poverty in Nigeria, though arguable because of the resilience of Imolites, but for the current administration of Hope we would not have been so referenced.
The Governor has scammed even the Federal Government by bringing the President and Vice President at different occasions to commission projects that were either not completed or white washed, giving the Federal Government the impression that the projects were completed by his snail pace administration that has plunged Imo that used to be the pride of the south east to a shadow of itself contrary to the projections of our leaders like Dee Sam Mbakwe among others who laid sound foundation for Imo.” The statement noted…..CONTINUE READING
