The organisation is the first network established by thousands of women political leaders from over 130 countries.
Members include Heads of State, Government, ministers, parliamentarians, local and regional politicians.
“It is an honour to serve as Chair of the WPL Board,” Ezekwesili said in reaction to the appointment.
The former Minister of Education, is co-founder of Transparency International and a former World Bank Vice President.Ezekwesili, founder and chair of Human Capital Africa, is the Senior Economic Advisor at Africa Economic Development Policy Initiative.The expert was recognised as one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People and is Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).
