Acting under the aegis of ‘Imo Youth Solidarity for Ikenga, 2023’, the youths, including women, marched through the major roads and streets with banners bearing such inscriptions as “Give Us Ikenga Ikechukwu Joseph Ukaegbu for Imo State Governor, “ “Imo Youths Ready to Take Back Imo State”, “Peter Obi, Please Give Us Ikenga”, “Imo Obedient Cry Out” and “Imo Solution 2023”, “The solution for a better Imo State, when the Righteous is On The Throne, The People Rejoice”.
They insisted that Ukaegbu who hails from Ikeduru Council Area with his intimidating credentials, stands shoulder high among all contenders to wrestle power from Governor Hope Uzodinma in the November 11 governorship election.

Iheme Modestus, leader of the movement, and youth leader for Owerri zone, who justified the rally, recalled that Ukaegbu had over the years been piloting the affairs of the party alone, even before its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, joined the party.
“There are over 15 governorship contenders for the governorship seat, but none of them is more qualified than Ukaegbu who has all it takes to secure victory for the party, tackle insecurity, unemployment, hunger and starvation and above all, rescue the state from further degeneration.”
Iheme, who also identified Ukaegbu as successful businessman and a rare philanthropist who hates injustice and iniquity in all their ramifications, said that his scholarship scheme had assisted many bright, but indigent students to acquire primary, secondary and tertiary education.
“Youths in the state are ready for him because he loves them and is humble, accessible and has trained up to 1,000 of them.
“On the screening in Abuja, he is the only person qualified and others who have purchased forms are just waiting for waivers.”
Also speaking, the Owerri Zonal Coordinator of ‘Imo Solution’, the campaign structure of Ukaegbu, John Samako, extolled Ukaegbu as the David of “our time” who is the best material to take the party to the Imo State government House in November.
Samako, also the treasurer of the ‘Take Back Nigeria’, and the Convener of the ‘Peter Obi for All to Real Support Group’, called out eligible voters in the state to vote massively for Ukaegbu to end their misery, penury and destitution…..CONTINUE READING
