Madowo announced that it was his first interview with the singer following the passing of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke in October 2022.
According to Madowo, they had a lenghty and honest conversation during the interview.
He wrote: “I caught up with Afrobeats superstar @davido for a lengthy, honest conversation – his first interview since losing his son.”
The photo reminded Kenyans of a prior encounter between the two when Madowo was hosting The Trend on NTV.
At the 2015 interview, Davido treated Madowo poorly and even walked out on him. The event led the journalist to ban Davido from the program.
Madowo following the 2015 incident wrote: “To say he is pleasant to those he does not deem necessary to him would be an understatement.
“That attitude stinks, and stars should get over themselves, their ego and their inflated sense of self-importance. As for Davido, he’s banned from our show for life.”
