According to AllNigeriaSoccer, Nwaneri has made at least 21 appearances for England’s U17s and was named in the Young Lions squad for the 2023 U17 Euro and FIFA U17 World Cup.

Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke also received call-ups to England’s U21 squads, while Aston Villa’s Tim Iroegbunam was selected for the Men’s Elite Squad.
