A Nigerian man has called off his wedding after discovering that his fiancée had commented on Facebook that she would cheat on him for N1 million (about $2,500).
The man, who has not been identified, was supposed to marry his fiancée in December 2020. However, he changed his mind after a friend showed him a screenshot of her comment on a Facebook post. The post asked, “Would you cheat on your partner for N1 million?” The fiancée’s comment simply said, “Yes.”
The man was understandably upset by his fiancée’s comment. He felt that it showed that she did not have the same values as him and that she was not trustworthy. He also felt that she was not taking their relationship seriously.
