But a source in the camp of the All Progressive Congress (APC) leadership candidate for speaker, Hon.Tajudeen Abass, revealed that all is not well.

This came to light one day when President-elect Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria and met a candidate for speaker, Hon. Ahmed Wase.

Vanguard recalls that Tinubu cut short his overseas tour to draw attention to the crisis at the party.

Speaking of an uneasy calm in the Abass camp, We are not particularly comfortable with the political atmosphere.

It seems that several people mingle with us only to show solidarity with the position of the president-elect, which they do not want to offend.

But deep down, they are not for us.

We are already beginning to get to know some of them, especially when Betara returned from Paris after he met with the President-elect.

The low attendance at the Joint Task Wednesday meeting is a classic example of what is likely to follow, and it means we have to work harder.

That’s why we’re calling for a meeting to review our chances and make concessions if necessary.

We need to review our strategies to know who is with us and who is against us.

To this day no one, not even our own Tajudeen Abbas, can boast of having the majority among the elected members.
