Agbu Kefas is not a new face in Taraba politics, he is one of the grass root politicians who have selflessly served the people in different capacities. Kefas won the people’s hearts with his excellent leadership skills and passionate show of love to the people he leads.
Agbu Kefas retired from the Nigerian Army after 21 years of service. Upon his retirement, he was appointed chairman Governing board of directors Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) between 2013 and 2015. He was also a member of the Presidential Committee on North-East Initiative from 2016 to 2019 before he fully joined politics by becoming the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Taraba State in 2020.

While he served in these capacities, Agbu Kefas never had a bad record or created a crisis at any time due to his excellent leadership skills. There was no major opposition against him because he carried everyone along and ensured the satisfaction of his people.
Knowing fully well that becoming the governor of a great state like Taraba would require more skills, Agbu Kefas has proceeded to Harvard University to learn more about leadership before the swearing-in ceremony that will be held on Monday, 29th of May, 2023.
While some newly elected governors have traveled out of the country to rest till the swearing-in ceremony, Agbu Kefas has embarked on a mission to serve the people of Taraba better. This simply shows his commitment to delivering quality leadership in the state.
Meanwhile, Agbu Kefas has been working round the clock since he won the election. He has been meeting with investors across the country, selecting qualified personalities that will work with him, and uniting with oppositions in state for the sake of Taraba, to mention a few.
