The wife of the new military leader in Niger Republic is a Nigerian from Kebbi-Abdur-Rahman Ahmad

According to a news that was published by the Punch paper online this morning, it was reported that the National Missioner of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Abdur-Rahman Ahmad, who was part of a delegation that visited to the Republic of Niger, following the coup that ousted President Mohamed Bazoum, during an interview with Punch correspondent has revealed what he noticed when they got to Niger Republic for dialogue….CONTINUE READING

During the interview, Ahmad was told that he earlier said any war on Niger Republic, is also a war on Nigerians, as he was asked why he said so. And while he was responding to this, he said that seven Nigerian states share a border with the Niger Republic and they are the same people, they speak the same language, they have common ancestry, and similar culture and they are related in many ways.

He said, “For instance, I would like to tell you that the wife of the new military leader in the Niger Republic is a Nigerian from Kebbi State. The people are basically the same; they speak the same Hausa that is spoken in northern region of Nigeria. In fact, there are some emirates in the Niger Republic whose emirs hold allegiance to emirs in Nigeria and all of them owe allegiance to the Sultan of Sokoto State. We are basically the same people.”

Further talking, Ahmad said that it was essential to acknowledge that colonial powers established artificial borders to divide us, even though these people share common bonds, and our influence extends beyond national boundaries, encompassing followers in Niger Republic and various other West African nations, including students and some civilian and military leaders.

He said, “We believe we can utilize this influence to prevent the outbreak of conflict and avert a potential disaster. It’s worth noting that war runs counter to the economic policies of the current administration, a fact emphasized by the President himself….CONTINUE READING
