Nigerians require fuel to run their boreholes, which are required for daily living. Furthermore, Nigerians require fuel to cut their hair, walk around their homes at night, and commute to work. Government organizations and hospitals, too, require fuel to function properly.
According to Father Ugwu, this is not the case in other nations where electricity is more consistent and people do not need to buy fuel for basic necessities. He anticipates that the elimination of gasoline subsidies will have an influence on all parts of Nigerian life because everything in Nigeria is fueled by fuel or diesel.
The Nigerian government is still attempting to fix traffic and congestion concerns, which means that individuals would need to consume twice as much petrol to get to work.
