I did come to learn that men who are successful in offering direction and guidance do so by only giving advice when they’re asked. So rather than jump into giving advice, I only listen and empathize and allow her to handle the situation. I only offer my advice if explicitly asked to do so. And this has proven to endear me to my partner’s heart more than ever.
This is a brainer. There are things women expect from men in a relationship, these things are so stereotypical and difficult to overturn. Things like opening the car door for her, pulling her seat out, pushing it back when she’s done sitting down at a table, walking on the outer side of the sidewalk when walking down the street with her, etc. Now all those things sound incredibly simple but are super easy to forget.
While my partner doesn’t expect me to be a saint, I notice she observes how I handle situations and carry myself. As they say, arguments are part of relationship building, but as a gentleman, I have learned to control my temper and refrain from acting on a whim.
However, there are down moments when you may not be at your best but, I also try to ensure I don’t pass on my stress to her by losing my temper.
This is one of my favorite ones I have learned. Keeping her guessing what’s next at any point in time, makes the relationship like a rollercoaster.
Taking her to new places, trying out new things together, including being adventurous in the bedroom. Regardless of how awkward or awesome the experiences are, accepting risks together leads to more trust in each other.
Even the small moments matter, you know? Gifts like flowers, cards, tickets, trips, and so on. When done randomly works wonders
Now, I always endeavor to give my partner appreciation for what she does and so much more, but when it comes to compliments, I give them sparingly and at the right time, so it does not become cliche.
I read somewhere that love is not looking at each other, but looking at something together. I often look out for new skills she has an interest in and encourage her to learn them with me at the same time. This often creates excitement and increases the bond between us.
Now, am not a relationship expert and every relationship is different, but I use to suck in relationships until began to do these things consciously, and it’s paying off. You can try it….CONTINUE READING
