Vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rotimi Amaechi, holds a closed-door meeting with former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal.
The meeting comes shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) uploaded the names of the ADC’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Amaechi, on its website ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC had earlier confirmed Amaechi as its vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
Amaechi’s visit to Tambuwal also follows Thursday’s judgment by a Federal High Court in Abuja affirming the leadership of former Senate President David Mark as the party’s national leader.
Although details of the meeting were still unknown as of the time of filing this report, it is believed to be connected to preparations for the 2027 elections.
