The Liverpool legend spent the evening lapping up the atmosphere with the Borussia Dortmund fans at the Signal Iduna Park.
He got stuck into the culture and sunk eight pints with the fans in the ‘Yellow Wall’.
And what a night it was for those Dortmund fans as they took a 1-0 lead in their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Carragher just about remembered he had a job to do with CBS and managed to rope Jadon Sancho into an interview.
He had a Dortmund scarf around his neck and arm draped around Sancho’s shoulder as he delivered a memorable interview.
Even Carragher’s CBS colleagues had second-hand embarrassment.
It’s the content we love from them, though, but PSG boss Luis Enrique was in no mood to deal with it.
Peter Schmeichel revealed that Carragher’s Dortmund scarf caused a few problems.
“In all seriousness, he’s in the sin bin,” Schmeichel said.
“Seriously, he’s upset every person here. First of all, were supposed to have Luis Enrique.
“And he came in and said, ‘hello’ and then he left because Jamie was wearing a Dortmund scarf.
“Then because we took Jadon Sancho in, the press officer from Dortmund got a bit cross with us because that was not on the list.
“We’ve been very naughty. And I hope it’s been good content.”
