The England international forward left the Three Lions’ camp before the game against Brazil due to a minor muscle issue, and manager Mikel Arteta will hope he is available for the top-of-the-table clash.

The Brazilian duo did not bother to report for international duty as Martinelli is still struggling with a foot problem he sustained against Sheffield United earlier this month while Gabriel has been managing an inflamed Achilles tendon.

Arsenal head into the game against Man City desperate to prove their title credentials and further consolidate their spot at the top of the Premier League table.

However, they need their best players available and being without any of the aforementioned trio will be a huge blow for Arteta.

Saka has 13 goals and eight assists in 27 league games this term, with seven goals and two assists in his last eight appearances in the competition.

The 22-year-old has arguably been the best player at Arsenal this term, and they need him for their most important game of the campaign so far.

Martinelli has also weighed in with six goals and four assists in 25 league games, and while Leandro Trossard has impressed in his absence since he was withdrawn against the Blades, having his available against Man City is an attacking luxury Arsenal could do with.

The Gunners have conceded the least league goals (24) due to the brilliance of Gabriel at the back, with his partnership with William Saliba at centre-back making their defence tick.

The 26-year-old has also been important at the other end of the pitch, weighing in with four goals in 26 games, and they need him to keep the Man City attack quiet on Sunday.
