The accident, Blueprint correspondent gathered, occurred around 10:30 am on Wednesday along Nangere – Potiskum road in the state.
Eyewitnesses further told blueprint correspondent that the accident happened when a trailer loaded with cattle from Buduwa village of Jakusko local government area on his way to Potiskum, rammed into another vehicle.
“The trailer was over-speeding and lost control and hit another car which is Canter model and crushed over 20 people and injured many,” an witness who simply identified himself as Mallam Barde, said.
Another source said the trailer also crushed victims who fell from the car which led to an unidentified number of deaths and many sustained degrees of injury.
As at the time of filling this report, there was no official confirmation by the Federal Road Safety Corps and other security outfits.
