While addressing journalists on Wednesday, Ekong alleged that Arabambi, who was expelled by the Labour Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) a few months ago, stormed the Election Petitions Tribunal in Lagos to stand as a witness for the APC in its petition seeking to have the party’s victory in the February 25 polls nullified.

According to her, Arabambi not only brought a fake lawyer to represent Labour Party but he was also alleged to have arrived at the court with armed policemen and vehicles loaded with thugs.

Ekong went on to plead with security agencies to call the Lamidi Apapa-led faction to order and stop aiding them in destroying the party.

She said; “Arabambi came to stand as a witness for the APC at the Tribunal, and he claimed that he was representing Labour Party. That is what we stood against and promptly resisted him.

We insisted that he has been expelled and cannot stand for Labour Party. He also brought a fake lawyer to represent the party. But I stood up and reminded him that I am the Chairman of the Labour Party in Lagos State. I also insisted that he cannot represent us because he is no longer one of us.

We need to state this categorically; Arabambi came to court with armed policemen. He also came with more than five vehicles filled with thugs. Now, what we are saying is that the Police, DSS, and other security agencies need to stop aiding these people.

Because what these security men are doing by aiding and abetting these people may eventually lead to anarchy. Arabambi cannot continue to parade himself as a Labour Party member. These people are putting illegality on legality and it cannot be accepted……CONTINUE READING
