Nigeria beat Angola 1-0 to reach the AFCON semi-final, and are yet to lose a game.
“We are buzzing and excited to get in this position, it wasn’t easy,. considering the work we have put,” Bassey said.
Nigeria will face a tough customer in South Africa, renewing a rivalry that was birthed in 2000.
“We are looking forward to it (semi-final), we know it is not going to be easy. we have to focus and keep doing what we have been doing,” the versatile defender stated.
Nigeria last won the the competition in 2013, beating Burkina Faso in the final.
