The Christian Ministry with Enoch Adejare Adeboye as General Overseer, is said to have purchased a large expanse of land in Imeko with worship planned before construction begins.

According to the information bandied about town, the General Overseer is penciled to lead the worship earmarked for around December 23, 2023.

These claims have resulted in a lot of excitement, particularly among members of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC).

Imeko, where the founder of CCC – Pastor Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa was buried in 1985 – is considered a Holy City by members.

Members of the Celestial Church of Christ have been holding annual-weeklong prayers, that include open revivals and song ministrations at Imeko since the passage of the founder based on the instruction he gave as part of propagating the gospel.

The event labeled a yearly convocation programme is acknowledged as the largest gathering by a white garment church. And, with other gestures, transformed the Celestial Church of Christ the most dominant religious player in the area.

The prayers by the CCC, which attract members and nonmembers from different parts of the world, usually climax with an overnight Christmas Service on December 24.

“That is why there is a lot of excitement among CCC members and its stakeholders that the RCCG not only acquired an expanse of land to build a mega worship place but plans a worship for December 23 or 24” according to those who should know.

Added information revealed that the buzz around the move by RCCG among the fold of Celestial Church of Christ members has been attracting different reactions – with a video of the land reportedly acquired by the Adeboye led Christian ministry at the forefront of discussions.
