The event, held at the College Lounge, was an emotional recognition of their diligent contributions to the institution.
In his address, the Commandant, represented by the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies, Brigadier General Aminu Umar expressed his deep appreciation to the outgoing officers for their unwavering commitment and service to the College.
He emphasized the importance of their contributions in shaping the future leaders of the Nigerian Army and urged them to continue adding value to the system.
“Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, the Nigerian Army recognizes and rewards diligence, and your service at the Army War College has undoubtedly been invaluable.” Major General Maina said.
During the ceremony, Brigadier General UM Alkali, Brigadier General JIB Manjang, Brigadier General TJ Mackintosh, Brigadier General MO Ibrahim, Brigadier General FO Onu, Brigadier General HG Hassan, Colonel MC Akin-Ojo, Colonel AO Onasanya, Colonel OO Nafiu, and NN Captain IC Ejiofor, Major SI Adesokan, Captain NG Shigaba, Capt BN Aja, and Lieutenant OG Akaniro were among the esteemed officers presented with gift items as tokens of appreciation for their distinguished service.
Additionally, the ceremony also acknowledged the exceptional contributions of three National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who served with unmatched passion and dedication at the AWCN. Dr. Aisha Dauda Sule, Ms. Abu Enema Miracle, and Ms. Atoba Gloria were among the Corps Members recognized and honored for their dedication and hard work during their time at the College…..CONTINUE READING
