Also absent at the court was his spouse, Professor Hafsat Ganduje, her son, Umar Ganduje, and 5 others suspected associate.

However, it wasn’t clear why the immediate past governor who also doubled as the national Chairman of the ruling party failed to show up for arraignment, but sources close to the family who do not was his name in the print revealed that “Dr. Ganduje is not in the country.”

The Kano state High court had on the 9th April, 2023 issued a summon to the Kano born APC National Chairman to appear for arraignment on April 17th over an alleged multi billion naira corruption perpetrated while on office.

It was also not clear as at the time of this report whether he sent a legal representation as the court is due to commence judicial process.

Barring any last minute change, the court is expected to make a sweeping response over the absence of all the accused person.
