The group believes that his reinstatement will foster unity, peace, and stability within Kano State and its neighboring communities.
In a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House, the Kano Electorate expressed their concerns about the division, unnecessary tension, and unrest caused by the dethronement of Sanusi.
They highlighted his efforts in improving the living standards of the people throughout his tenure as Emir.
“We would like to request a review and potential dissolution of the additional emirs and section that led to the creation of the four additional emirates,” the group stated in their letter.
“However, we humbly request your esteemed assembly to revisit and reconsider the decision to remove HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi from his throne. Our belief is based on the belief that his reinstatement will foster unity, peace, and stability within Kano State and its neighboring communities.”
The Kano Electorate emphasized the importance of restoring Sanusi as the emir, highlighting the positive impact it would have on the state and its people.
They called on the lawmakers to take into consideration the wishes and aspirations of the Kano Electorate in making their decision.
As the Kano State Assembly reviews the law establishing the four additional emirates in Gaya, Rano, Karaye, and Bichi, the fate of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi hangs in the balance.
