A massive explosion was reportedly heard in a city south of Moscow, as helicopters fired at a Wagner convoy.

Prigozhin, who is widely acknowledged to be a mercenary leader, given that he controls the Wagner group, which has fought alongside or in the place of Russian forces in several conflicts, has referred to today’s actions as a “march of justice”.

Putin has countered by calling it “treason”.

In Moscow, Putin has taken security measures, as Wagner forces march through other cities across Russia.

The European Parliament has declared Russia to be a state sponsor of terrorism.

In that declaration, the Wagner Group, a paramilitary organisation, which has allegedly been responsible for several atrocities in different conflicts, was explicitly called out.

Prigozhin has alleged that Russian military killed some of his fighters, though it is not clear that these alleged killings are what precipitated the Wagner Group’s decision to turn against Putin and his regime…..CONTINUE READING
