The attack had involved unknown gunmen sporadically shooting and setting off explosives at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall to the shock of citizens.
A Russian band Piknik was about to perform at Concert Hall when the attack began with citizens scampering for safety.
The F.S.B., Russia’s top security agency, has confirmed the casualties in what is the biggest attack in the region in the last decade.
President Vladimir Putin is yet to make an official statement on the matter though reports indicate a response is imminent.
Museums in Moscow will be closed on Saturday and Sunday after the deadly attack at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, the news agency TASS reported.
Dockaysworld recalls that the United States had warned of a possible attack in Russia via a security attack from its embassy in Moscow.
The statement warned that,
“monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, to include concerts.”
The statement warned Americans that an attack could take place in the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has denied any involvement in the attack as a top adviser to Ukraine’s presidential office, Mykhailo Podolyak, said in a video statement that “Ukraine has absolutely nothing to do” with the attack.
The world awaits Russia’s response to the attack.
