Police were conducting their duties at about 03:30 when they noticed a suspicious vehicle and stopped it.
All the occupants attempted to flee the scene and abandon their vehicle however, all four suspects were swiftly apprehended by the members.
Upon further investigation, eight pig carcasses were found in the loading bin of the bakkie. None of the men could provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the ownership of the carcasses.
All four suspects will appear in the Barkley West Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of stock theft.
