BREAKING: Niger’s Junta expels 15 members of EUCAP

According to the country’s Interior Minister, Brig Gen Mohamed Toumba, the individuals returned to Niamey on January 24th without telling the authorities.

He confirmed that they were removed from Niger several days later, on January 26th.

According to the Country’s Goverment, the Eucap mission, comprising of 120 security officers was terminated in December after more than a decade of working together.

The junta has indicated its intention to downgrade military ties with European countries, while diversifying links with countries such as Russia and Iran.
