According to reports, the gunmen intercepted two commercial buses traveling from Makurdi to Lagos and during the attack, abducted 10 persons while many others escaped into the bush. The Kogi state police command is yet to comment on the incident.
Meanwhile, some of the passengers who escaped the attack recorded a video from where they are hiding and called for help. One of them who gave his name as Stephen, said;
‘’We were on our way to Lagos state when we were ambushed on the way. They started shooting at our vehicle. Some people were killed on the road. We managed to escape and ran into the bush. We are close to Okene”….CONTINUE READING
