Assuring the public of a fair and impartial process, the Tribunal Judges, led by Justice Tsammani, have committed to handling the Presidential Election Tribunal cases with utmost integrity. However, in a surprising turn of events, Atiku Abubakar and the PDP announced their decision to close their petition against President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023. This announcement was made by their lead counsel, Chris Uche, during the court proceedings held in Abuja.
Uche cited their inability to provide witnesses during the scheduled days in court as the reason for the closure of their case. He further stated that certain documents they had planned to present in the last two days would serve as evidence in lieu of the remaining 70 witnesses.
