In a comprehensive interview on Channels Television, Mr. Ologunagba emphasized that the PDP does not currently face any crisis, maintaining that the party operates with a single chairman and a unified national working committee, dispelling any notion of factionalism. This clarification challenges the premise under which the lawmakers justified their defection and underscores the unity within the PDP.

“When people want to be mischievous, they can hide under anything. But the good things is that the constitution is very clear in this case. The section 109, 1g of the constitution made a provision saying that it’s only when there’s a fraction or a faction in the party. The PDP is one, the PDP has one chairman, it has one National working committee, so how they came about the fact that there’s a division in the party, I don’t know. But again, I am sure that by now those 27 members would’ve known that their actions are futile and that they’ve lost their positions.”
