The couple – Joseph Acot and Janet Apio are said to have gone to the trading centre for shopping leaving the woman behind.
She later returned in the wee hours of Christmas while drunk when the fight broke out leading to the deceased death.
The woman according to reports was the deceased second wife after his first wife-whom they had four children- died six months ago.
“She had spent the whole day drinking and upon her return, she was already drunk and did not want her husband to talk about it resulting to a fight,” Apac District Police Commander Rodgers Kapere stated.
The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
“As we talk now our homicide team has gone to the scene and investigations have already commenced,” Kapere added.
The deceased body has since been taken to Apac Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
