1. Enoch’s Heavenly Voyage
In the time of old, before the big flood, Enoch stood out among the people listed in Genesis. Most folks back then lived for hundreds of years, but Enoch was a bit different. He only lived for 365 years, which is much less than his buddies.

But here’s the twist – he didn’t experience death! The Bible in Hebrews 11:5 says Enoch “did not see death.” Instead, he got a direct ticket to heaven, and the last bit of Genesis 5 simply says, “He was not; for God took him.”
Enoch, after reaching heaven, got a special role – he became the guardian of heavenly treasures, the boss of archangels, and the Guy who hangs out with God. They say he knows all the secrets and mysteries. Some even call him Metatron, the angel who says God’s name, according to fancy writings like the 3 Enoch.
2. Elijah’s Skyward Journey
Another incredible story involves Elijah, who didn’t face the typical end either. Instead of the usual farewell, he went up to heaven alive! Picture this: Elijah and his buddy Elisha were hanging out, and suddenly, a whirlwind came and carried Elijah up to the sky. This whole event is beautifully detailed in 2 Kings, chapter 2, verses 1 to 11.
Elijah even did some cool tricks before heading to heaven. He rolled up his mantle, threw it into a stream, and bam! The water split, and they walked on dry land. Then, a chariot of fire with horses of fire showed up, dividing them, and Elijah went up into heaven in the whirlwind.
Now, these stories are pretty amazing, right? But here’s the thing – despite these extraordinary events, it seems like no one else has taken a trip to heaven alive since then.
