Olubiyo said undue concentration of power and management of natural resources and economic activities in the hands of the Federal Government , particularly in areas where the 36 states could do better, had over the years turned Nigeria into a feeding bottle federalism.
He further stated:, “By implications, it has reduced the 36 state governments that make up the federating units into lazy, unproductive , redundant and under- utilised entities. The recent development would no doubt enhance inclusive growth, upscale global economic competitive indexes and break the monopoly of the Federal Government in Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution , Rail Transport System , upscale End Users Customers right to choices/ alternatives and strengthen cash inflow from Foreign Direct Investments ( FDIs ).
