The musician, who has always been passionate about utilizing his platform to highlight Nigeria, expressed his dedication to using his songs and influence to spread awareness of the nation’s culture, resiliency, joy, and hardships
He wrote;
“Honored to hear the news that I have been conferred with an OON (Officer of the Order of The Niger) by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
I am grateful for this recognition and honor. It has always been my mission to use my platform to showcase our country – the passion, the resilience, the joy, the culture, and of course, the struggles of our people.
I do not take any of this for granted. We have one Nigeria, and we will continue to do whatever we must to make it better!”
The superstar singer expressed his appreciation to his fans and supporters for being on this journey with him.
He concluded his post with a heartfelt appeal, saying, “Thank you all for being on this journey with me. So help us, God.”
This comes after President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret.) bestowed national awards on various famous people in appreciation of their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria.
