A 28-year-old ex-convict, Fatai Bakare, has been arrested in Ondo state for allegedly murdering his father’s 42-year-old tenant, Onyimi Grace. Bakare formerly committed internet fraud. Odunlami added that Bakare kept the Ghana must go bag containing Grace’s body in an uncompleted building near his father’s house.

Earlier reports on December 8th state that Grace, 42, was found dead and concealed in the bag near the home of chief suspect Bakare, 28. Bakare, his father’s tenant, had blood stains on his leg and fled before police arrived on scene.
The next day, police arrested Bakare on his way to Irele. Further investigation found Bakare to be an ex-convict with a history of internet fraud. Blood-soaked clothes found in Bakare’s house matched what he wore the day of the murder.
The case will now be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation, Odunlami stated.
