Per reports, about 80 renewable energy engineering students from the University were victims of a violent robbery during their return from the field trip last night.
Armed robbers reportedly targeted the students and stole their phones, laptops and cash.
Things turned tragic when Abdul Aziz Isaiah, popularly known as Zamani, a final year student, was fatally shot while the robbers attempted to gain entry to the bus.
Other students reportedly also suffered s*xual and physical assault during the incident
