On Monday, September 4, 2023, the institution’s 100-level student vanished after entering the classroom to study. Her body was discovered on September 6th, after several days of searching, in a little cemetery behind her school. Unverified rumours suggested that those responsible for her murder and burial had also removed her eyes.

The school administration, however, said in a statement that they went to the mortuary where her body was put and could establish that no portion of her body had been harmed.

The cause of death and manner in which she died is a thing of great pain to the entire student populace of FUOYE. As we say our goodbyes to a precious and bright student such as MODUPE, members of the FUOYE STUDENT UNION GOVERNMENT (FUOYESUG) visited the morgue and we were able to confirm to everyone that no part of her body was mutilated contrary to claims and rumors flying around, we can confirm that not less than twelve(12) people have been arrested in connection with the crime and we would not rest until the perpetrators are brought to justice….CONTINUE READING
