He further stated that he hopes the 10th national assembly will be able to continue the good work they’ve been doing while representing the people in the 9th national assembly. He however urged them to finish the work which they failed to finish.

According to him, “I say tongue in cheek that I had the highest number of votes in the election of the speaker and house of representatives, but now Tajudeen Abass has surpassed that with 353 votes. I think maybe 3, or 6 short of 360. So I give it to him, and I congratulate him. With that comes a lot of responsibility. He has an overwhelming majority, and I wish him God’s speed and well.
