The stench from Njoku’s flat reportedly increased during the six days as he participated in this horrible conduct with the corpse. The estate’s security team was alerted by concerned neighbours, and after conducting a search, they located the girl’s body. An eyewitness named Elizabeth John corroborated the find and disclosed that Njoku had confessed to the murder, claiming that he had killed Okeke for the purpose of performing money rituals.
According to him, he was commanded to have séx with her body for seven days straight until being caught on the eighth.
The flat was searched after the chairman of the estate was called in to assess the situation, and the girl’s body was discovered there. Upon his capture, Njoku was swiftly delivered to the custody of the Lamgbasa Police. He admitted to killing his girlfriend six days before during the subsequent interview. Word on the street has it that he offered up to N6 million in bribes to bury the evidence.
