It is widely known that politicians and government officials have been known to travel abroad for medical care.

Some believe the Nigeria’s health care system is poor and as a result of that they would rather seek medical care from foreign hospitals.

Recall that Adedoyin Dosunmu-Ogunbi Medical Director, Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja, in July 2022, revealed that the vice-president had undergone a successful surgery to treat a recurrent pain in his leg.

Rufai Oseni’s comment comes following news that the President-elect Bola Tinubu has returned to France to seek medical care and will return before his inauguration on May 29.

This will be the second time in 2 months Tinubu has travelled to France for treatment, although his team has refused to disclose the nature of his illness.

Questions have been raised over Tinubu’s health issues, as many wonders if he is capable of leading the country.

In a serious of tweets, Oseni said;

“If Osinbajo can believe in the Nigerian health care system and do a surgery here, why can’t others do same?”
