Clement, recently crowned as the King of Ewu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, was among the eight individuals sought by the Nigerian Army Defence Headquarters for their alleged involvement in the killing of 17 soldiers in Okuama Community on March 14.

Alongside the monarch, the President-General of Ewu, Prof Ekpekpo Arthur, and Reuben Baru, who gained attention for a viral video explaining the motives behind the killings, were also wanted.

Another individual sought is Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, also known as Amagbein, a suspected militant leader who soldiers tracked to Igbomoturu community in Southern-Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, but missed apprehending him.

Before surrendering to the police, the monarch held a press conference where he denied any involvement in the killings.
