Most recently, plant enthusiast took to the platform to reveal how to keep those pesky bugs away from you for good.
In a clip posted to Instagram, Melissa shocked viewers by revealing that the plant Lemon balm can help keep mosquitoes away.

‘Did you know? Lemon balm is a super effective mosquito repellent,’ she said.
In the video, Melissa rubbed Lemon balm leaves on herself.
She captioned the clip: ‘Here’s a little trick that I do when I’m outside in the garden and the mosquitoes are biting!
‘I go over to my Lemon balm patch, pick off a leaf or two and rub it on me to keep those little blood suckers away! Works every time!’

According to the CDC, in addition to being itchy, mosquito bites can cause serious illnesses.
Mosquitos can spread diseases, including Zika virus, West Nile virus, Chikungunya virus, dengue, and malaria.
To reduce your risk and prevent yourself from getting bitten, avoid spending an extended amount of time outdoors. You should also use a form of repellent.
According to Colorado Pest Management, Lemon balm is the perfect plant for keeping bugs away because the plant has a ‘strong lemon scent that mosquitoes detest.’
It’s also one of the easiest plants to grow – just plant the seeds in soil and water it regularly.
Then, you can rub the leaves on your skin, or even make a repellent spray by mixing Lemon balm and water.
Other herbal repellents include rosemary, basil, and citronella.
