A video that surfaced online captured the incident in class after the student explained that she had visited the hospital just before the lecture.
Dr. Desmond, however, disregarded her explanation and proceeded to slap her multiple times asking her, “what’s your reason for coming to class late?”.
The lecturer while dishing out punishment to her, also asked the lady why she was on mufti and told her to kneel down.
Students at the Institution labeled him a woman beater and claimed that it was not the first time Dr. Desmond was engaging in such an act.
A hashtag was created against the lecturer on Facebook as social media users stormed his page.
